Guiyang IELTS Test Centre Opened

　　A new IELTS test centre was set up in Guiyang, marked with a press conference jointly held by British Council, IDP IELTS Australia, the National Education Examinations Authority of the Ministry of Education and Guizhou University in the morning of 13 March. This has made Guiyang the 27th IELTS test centre in mainland China. Around 30 Representatives from eleven local media, four universities, Foreign Affaire Office of the Guizhou Provincial Government and Guizhou Education Commission attended the conference.

　　The first test in Guiyang is scheduled on 13 May 2006, followed by another two sessions on 29 July and 4 Nov respectively. Registration is now open to public for tests in the whole year. The first candidate who successfully registers for test in Guiyang will be awarded an iPod nano MP3 player by British Council,, and the first 20 will be given a set of IELTS Specimen Material each.

　　英国驻重庆总领事馆文化教育处、澳大利亚教育国际开发署、教育部考试中心以及贵州大学于3月13日在贵阳联合举行新闻发布会，宣布中国大陆地区第二十七个IELTS考试中心在贵阳成立。大约30名来自当地11家媒体、4家主要大学、贵州省外办及教委的代表出席了发布会。

　　贵阳考试中心第一场考试定在2006年5月13日，年内还将于7月29日和11月4日分别举办两场。报名工作现已在本站开始。首名成功报名贵阳IELTS考试的考生将获得由英国驻重庆总领事馆文化教育处发放的iPod nano MP3播放器一台，前20名考生每人将获得剑桥大学考试委员会编写的IELTS复习辅导资料一套。
